Php Works is a sole trader business based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. We specialise in the provision of osCommerce related design, coding and hosting and also bespoke php/MySQL application programming.
The company is run by Mark Stephens, who has been working with osCommerce, and deriative projects, for over 4 years.
Mark has a great deal of experience in software intensive project management in many environments. He worked for British Aerospace Airbus for 12 years, leading the development of a number of Airframe Avionics Systems for the A321 and A340 aircraft.
He also worked for the Ministry of Defence for 8 years, procuring Military Communications and Flight Simulation Systems. Here he rose to a management position where he was responsible for the delivery of multi-million pound projects, including major contracts delivered through Privately Financed PFI contracts.
Mark was working with osCommerce which was the platform of choice for a number of family businesses, and helping others on the osCommerce forums and writing a number of contributions, when he decided to launch Php Works back in 2003, providing commercial support to businesses who wanted to get more from their osCommerce installation. Since this time, he has worked with many companies, large and small, and has developed a level of expertise which has gained him a reputation within the UK, and beyond, as one of the leading experts in his field.
His wider background gained in previous careers, including skills such as project management, risk management, contracts, marketing, finance and accounting means that he is able to take a broader view of a project, and look beyond the coding task to understand the business imperative behind customers' requirements.
In short, if you're looking for a developer who will do more than you ask; actively question your requirements and offer itelligent advice and alternative views, then you've come to the right place. Many companies now depend on us for essential, efficient and professional support - isn't it time you were one of them?
